Three years ago I was at a very low spot in my life. It hadn't been long since I had given birth to our second child and you could tell by looking at my body. I was overweight and overstressed. Gyms were just missing something. One day in January 2003, by the grace of God, I called LaVallee's USA Black Belt Champions in Manlius. I met with Sensei Groesbeck and my life has changed forever. Sensei Groesbeck has been a great friend and Sensei. He's there to support me and challenge me. I really needed the constant positive words from class to get me out of my slump. I thrived on USA Black Belt Champions. It was what was missing in my life, challenge, camaraderie, and a sense of accomplishment. I have set many goals with Sensei Groesbeck and have achieved many of those goals. It has allowed me to become more focused in my everyday life.
